I've been a little slow on the updates lately (mostly because I was in a serious accident 6 weeks ago and still dealing with the fallout ). However, if you've been following the repo, part of the posting page was pushed. Obviously not complete, and you may get errors if you try to use it. I just wanted to let everyone know that this extension is still well in development.
I've also been playing with the master branch of phpBB's repo for a project.
[3.3.x][DEV] Trackers
Re: Trackers
That is so funny! I just downloaded the master this week and gave it a whirl on my (test!) board.
I didn't see any obvious changed right away (apart from the increase in the zip's file size ) - I seem to be needing to start a project first but that can't be done yet? Or is that somewhere not-so-obvious?
I did have a quick question - will there be a voting/starring system in there to gauge whether a feature request is much wanted? Or a bug considered critical by others?
Go Kailey go!

No, I haven't coded the backend for adding projects.nou nou wrote: Thu Oct 10, 2024 2:29 pm I seem to be needing to start a project first but that can't be done yet? Or is that somewhere not-so-obvious?
I'm open to feature requests, but I would consider a voting/star system as outside the scope of this extension. As for critical bugs, I plan in moving to permission-based access, so reporting such bugs should be handled by permissions.nou nou wrote: Thu Oct 10, 2024 2:29 pm I did have a quick question - will there be a voting/starring system in there to gauge whether a feature request is much wanted? Re: Trackers
But users could post replies to reports, right? Given permissions of course...
Here's my use case - my forum caters to users of a certain third party software and I have a Bug Reports and Wish List subforum. This works quite well, phpBB is very well suited for this, but there are the obvious pitfalls in terms of tracking the progress of either, etc.
But yeah, as I'm writing this maybe a starring system isn't super useful compared to actual comments - people tend to star everything anyway
Well, nice talking to you!

Re: Trackers
An upvote system would be, alright, ala Jira. Just a postiive system. Either have voted or not. Controlled by permissions.
